Jumilla, Spanish wine region to discover and to fall in love with. The Carchelo Crianza is a wine that undoubtedly can part of a larger league, it has an exceptional quality. An elixir of red grapes, a blend of Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon in perfect proportions. From one of each varieties it has taken a little, but it is the hand of the winemaker who did this delicious blend giving also and then a step by oak barrel and an aging in bottle with such a great precision. Thus must be the Crianza ones: noble wines, intense and powerful. Carchelo is not the exception, but the rule. And I even dare say, it is pretty perfect. In the nose, it is an endless aromas of ripe red fruit, leather, pepper, cinnamon, caramel. In the mouth, it is a fleshy, unctuous, intense and mysterious wine. A great Crianza, very well achieved and balanced, but with tannins still very present that provide the character enough to guarantee us a potential for keeping itself for another 5 years. A delight that can be uncorked now, but I also suggest to keep some other bottle in the cave to later reveal its attributes of maturity. (MLF)
